WHAT DOES A MAN REALLY WANT?

 

I recently encountered a lady of about 30 years of age at an event on the Island, Lagos. She had this sad reflection on her face, at times she laughs but there was a sadistic aura about her. All of a sudden, she turned to me and said my dear sis... how have you been able to maintain your ebony skin?

I was taken aback because I wasn't expecting such question. People hardly had the audacity to ask me, I am very proud of my skin as a proud black woman.

I noticed she was light skinned, but she was sweating and had to keep using her handkerchief to clean her sweat. She said I used to be darker than you, I sighed and was lost for words.

The guy she was dating then, said he didn't like dark ladies. so she decided do something about it, just to please him and since he promised marriage. She decided to take care of her skin. He seems very impressed at first and her new fair skin was glittering. He took her everywhere, then after some years he was posted to another State and she kept visiting him. 

On one of her visits, he said he needed to discuss something with her. He started telling her he had given his life to Christ, he doesn't believe in sex before marriage and now he has met his own wife whom God revealed to him.

She held me in pains when she was narrating her story. How she took her bags and left his house she couldn't remember. For old times sake, he got her a flight back to Lagos. The lady he wants to marry is darker than how she was before she changed her complexion for him. The guy said he has realized his mistake and it's an ebony woman he wants for a wife.

I was devastated for her. She was 31, no relationship and she was emotionally damaged. Wow, I felt it for her!

Moral of this story, be yourself; short, tall, fat, slim, dark, light - the way God created you, a man who wants to be with you would definitely be with you.

Don't go extra mile for any man especially to damage what God gave you. It's a big lesson, be yourself and love yourself. Some men don't know what they want, don't give such men audience. Once you do, they will ruine your life, same as ladies... I rest my case, till next segment.
