Chess Master Tunde Onakoya just broke the Guisness Book of Record, for the longest marathon, on Saturday 20th, his life is transformed.
Let's probe further and know things about Tunde that makes him stand out surpassing the previous record of 56 hours and 9 minutes, set by a Norwegian player. It took place at the prestigious and famous Time Square, New York.
Tunde organized a number of interventions for children across the slums in Lagos state, e.g. Ikoroudu, Makoko and representing Oshodi.
He was born in Ikoroudu, Nigeria. He was unable to pay his school fees for his secondary school, his mother offered to work for a school as a cleaner in exchange for his school fees.
He has a diploma in computer science at Yaba College of Technology, where he was a Gold medalist. He also featured in CNN African voices.
He came to Nigeria, and was seen with the Governor of Lagos state, His Excellency Sanwo Olu, we wish him more success in his future endeavors.
